Asia
Spanning over 17 million square miles and making up 29.1 percent of Earth's total landmass, Asia is the largest continent, and consequently, one of the most diverse regions on Earth to explore.
With 42 countries to choose from, most people (including me!) will begin their travels in the well-trodden trails of South East Asia. I spent 4-months traveling solo in the Philippines and Indonesia, then overlanding through Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Myanmar. I can honestly say it was one of the craziest trips of my life. From the mind-blowing cuisines to the daily infusions of history and culture - it was one of the most challenging but rewarding solo adventures.
I have since ventured further north to China, Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, and South Korea and just last year I traveled to India for the first time, and began what I am sure will be a lifelong affair with the beauty of Central Asia.
It's difficult to decide where to begin when it comes to planning your Asia travels. I hope my guides will help inspire your adventures.
