The quaint pastel streets of Notting Hill make it one of the most instagrammable places in London. Featured in countless iconic movies, Notting Hill is a must-see quintessentially British borough to explore. But with hundreds of houses to choose from, it can be a mission to find the prettiest streets. So after much Googling, I have collated and visited the exact addresses of the best places to get photos in Notting Hill.
Instagram Guide to Notting Hill London
Your Notting Hill adventure starts at Ladbroke Grove Station and will take less than two hours on foot. I broke up the route by having lunch along Portobello Road (one of the stops along the way!)
Lancaster Road
Enter into Google Maps 27 Lancaster Road, to find the purple house pictured below. For an alternative colour scheme, primary reds and blues can be found at the opposite end of the street (seen in the distance below).

St Luke’s Mew’s
Next stop is 24 St Luke’s Mews, featured in Love Actually. “To me you are perfect” – recognize this scene? This gorgeous pink house is where Mark confesses his love to Juliet (Kiera Knightly). While admittedly a snakey scene (that’s your best friends wife mate?!) it’s one of the most famous moments in the movie. I visited in winter, but during spring the Mew is adorned in brightly coloured flowers.
Westbourne Park Road
Westbourne Park Road is more difficult to photograph because during the hours of 8:30AM-1:30PM it is open to the public for parking. I was there early enough that it hadn’t been completely filled yet, but a lot of photo ops were already blocked. The pink house below is 260 Westbourne Park Road. There were gorgeous green and blue houses sitting on either side of this shot but there were cars obstructing the view already!
Portobello Road (Denbigh Terrace)
Top tip: visit Notting Hill on a Saturday when Portobello Markets are set up. Portobello markets are filled with trinkets, clothes, antiques and food stalls so it is a great way to break up the morning. To spot the most instagrammable streets in Notting Hill along Portobello, keep an eye out for the small side streets. Because of the crowds along Portobello Road, fewer cars are able to get there to park. For example, I spotted these pink and blue houses at 25 Denbigh Terrace.
You can also make an optional stop at the house of George Orwell at 22 Portobello Road.
Hillgate Place, Farmer Street & Callcott Street
Finally, the most popular and arguably the best place for Instagram photography in Notting Hill can be found along Hillgate Place (and it’s adjoining streets). There is no exact address needed for these streets because literally all of them are colourful! Blues, yellows, greens, purples, and pinks – it’s just a matter of choosing which is your favourite. I found Farmer and Callcott Street easier to photograph (less parked cars!).
This last photo stop is right next to Notting Hill Gate Station so you will be able to hop straight onto the tube to your next London destination.
BONUS STOP: Only 10 minutes away you will find the famous Churchhill Arms Pub. Usually adorned with hundreds of flowers it was covered in over 60 Christmas trees the day I visited 😂
